Hideo Kojima wants to set the record straight. Saying that he wanted to scare people to death through Silent Hills was actually a mistranslation. It turns out that Hideo Kojima literally wants people to die while playing Silent Hills. At Gamescom 2014, reports of people being unable to finish the demo made Kojima smile. Partnering with director Guillermo del Toro on the new entry in the horror franchise, the legendary game designer told people that he hoped people would shit their pants while playing Silent Hills. Horrendous P.T. demo leads to intriguing revelations.
Teeth gritted hard enough to reduce them to a sort of viscous paste, we'll admit that P.T. - the playable teaser for Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro's new Silent Hill game, released on PS4 during Gamescom - was probably the most intriguing part of the conference.

Silent Hills not exclusive to PS4

Added: 18.08.2014 11:13 | 7 views | 0 comments

The newly announced Silent Hills being developed by Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima and filmmaker Guillermo del Toro will not be PS4-exclusive, according to internet speculation (and perhaps a teaspoon serving of common sense). According to online reports, PlayStation Italy sent out a promo email with highlights from Gamescom; 'Exclusive PlayStation' tags were on screenshots for Until Dawn, Bloodborne and The Order 1886, but not on P.T.--the 'Playable Teaser' released for Silent Hills.

Why P.T. Has Me Petrified at the Prospect of Silent Hills

Sammy Barker, Push Square: "Hideo Kojima wants to loosen our bowels with his upcoming Silent Hill sequel for the PlayStation 4, and hes not messing around. Ill concede to diving headfirst into the recently released P.T. (or Playable Teaser) demo yesterday in a bullish mood, expecting the tense but not exactly unsettling experience that the survival horror genre has taught me to anticipate over the past few years. An hour later, I was a mess."

Guide: How to Complete the Spooky P.T. Demo on PS4

Push Square: "Weve already established that P.T., the playable teaser for Kojima Productions upcoming Silent Hills, is a petrifying slice of survival horror but its also quite a complicated one. While the demo is a brilliant experience in its own right, some of the conundrums are a little more ambiguous than you may expect presumably due to the carrot dangling at the end of the corridor. Speaking as part of a livestream earlier this week, Hideo Kojima admitted that he expected it to take people a week to uncover the mystery at the end of the affair, but the secret lasted a few hours instead. Still, the demo is definitely worth playing through, even if its reveal has already been cracked."

Why Silent Hill 2 is still the most disturbing game ever made

Added: 17.08.2014 14:16 | 2 views | 0 comments

Eurogamer: "This week we learned that Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro are collaborating on a new game in the Silent Hill series. Despite both men having a reputation for attaching themselves to projects that either take years to materialise, if they happen at all, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this could be the best thing to happen to Silent Hill in over a decade. Why? Because both Kojima and Del Toro are into weird stuff."
